Festive Fix: Forever Tree for Xmas

A few years ago I, Sarah, was committed to getting a living Christmas Tree in a pot so I could keep it year on year, at least in the garden if i couldn’t bring it back in again. I did loads of research and found a company with great with great reviews. I timed it to arrive so I could gradually acclimitise the tree to the indoors before dressing it in time for Christmas. I took it down very quickly after the big day and put it back outside. And, as my partner said it would from the off, the damn thing died. The everlasting Christmas Tree has become a painful joke in my house; the time that I tried to be sustainable and ended up killing a tree instead. So I’m thrilled to see this amazing alternative from Concrete Jungle, an amazing local plant business who has traded with us a few times now and brings infectious green joy to every event. No dead trees here.

Concrete Jungle founder Danny says:

Looking for a more sustainable Christmas tree alternative this year? Look no further than our fab range of Norfolk Pines (Araucaria Heterophylla)!

These fantastic trees are not from the East coast of the UK but are actually native to the island of Norfolk, Australia. These elegant, coniferous trees make fab easy-care house plants and can be kept in your home all year round. Pimp yours with decorations over the festive season and their delicate pine like foliage will give you that warm Christmassy feeling but without the needle drop or having to throw it away after Christmas.

Keep yours in a spot with bright indirect light and top up with water once you notice the top two inches have become dry. Ours are available in two different sizes and are available to order from mid November.

Check them out here! Concrete Jungle are bringing a few to Pexmas on Sataurday 3rd December, but do order online to guarantee you snap one up.
