Frequently Asked Questions

what’s with the 2 spaces?

Last year we expanded our footprint of the market across Copeland Park, using both Unit 8 and Copeland Gallery. This gave customers more indoor space at Pexmas to spread out, and we were able to showcase more traders. We saw our biggest Pexmas yet, so with a few tweaks we’re doing it again! There is no difference in the types of stalls in each space though each physical stall in the Gallery space is smaller and able to use the wall to display work, so has appealled to traders with smaller collections, and particularly to illustrators and small item sellers. This space will be quieter, ideal for those who find bustle and noise tricky. The DJs, Mulled Wine and Coffee stands will be inside Unit 8 as previous years. Please do come with time to explore both spaces and make all of our traders feel loved!

Can I bring my Dog?

First things first - our most frequently asked question! We love a canine pal, and welcome all living things who are well behaved at Pexmas. We ask you to keep your dog on a lead, or in a carrier/basket/bag if that is your thing. If your dog, child or pals makes a mess at Pexmas, please help us by cleaning it up.

Is it free entry?

YES. We are committed to open access and our markets will always be free to attend.

Can i pay on card / Contactless?

All our stalls will be taking contactless / card payments. Some may accept cash as well, especially if you have the right change! There is no cash machine on site, but you will find a few just a short walk away on Rye Lane.

Is there a toilet?

Yes, they are indoors in Unit 8! They are a little chilly but efficient and cleaned regularly. Please let us know if you encounter any problems in our toilets. There is one disabled toilet in Unit 8, but no baby changing, though you can access these facilities in Copeland Park’s bar, Social, should you need them. Please ask our staff for assistance.

Is the space Accessible?

Unit 8 has a slight lip over the door frame to enter, which has a temporary ramp suitable for some wheelchairs. Once inside it is all on one storey, though it is a rough concrete floor with some dips. On the far right of the space there is a single step down, which can be avoided if you have mobility issues. If you need any assistance, please alert our staff on the door who will be pleased to support you.

Copeland Gallery has no door frames to navigate. It is laid out as a series of rooms, and the changes in floor height from room to room are via integral ramps.

Can I bring my buggy?

Please do, though be aware that in busy periods (typically 1pm-4pm) you may find it easier to fold your buggy. There is no buggy park at this market. Please do not leave your property unattended.

Covid Safety

Currently England does not require customers and staff in retail establishments to wear a mask indoors, though we support mask wearing, especially by anyone experiencing the seasonal sniffles! We will be controlling numbers inside the venue, keeping the doors open for ventilation and providing sanitiser throughout for your hands.

If you have symptoms, please consider doing a lateral flow test before attending, and if you do have a positive test, please stay home. We review our saftey policies throughout in line with current advice.
